Changes

When you were born so much I didn't know
When to change you, when to feed you,
Or how fast you would grow.
There was so much I need to learn,
And so much I didn't show,

Our lives changed and I tried to be strong
God as my witness, I would never do you wrong
I love you so much, and I miss your sweet touch
Your tiny little toes, and your tiny little nose,
The first day you walked and the first time you talked,
Are forever in my mind with a memory that grows.

You are an angel to my heart,
I never expected to be torn apart,
Circumstances were such, that I had to go,
But my darling  I want you to know,
That I'm walking toward a better life,

One with no confusion, pain, or strife,
So hang on my baby, I'll come for you,
We will be together forever true.

Love always and forever
Mommy, tl mitchell 1998
